Deoria, Dec. 5 -- In a major breakthrough, the Cyber Crime Police Station, SOG, and BSNL jointly busted a large cybercrime syndicate involved in converting international VoIP calls into local calls for illegal financial gain.

The team arrested the kingpin, Tej Narayan Singh, during a raid in Ramgulam Tola under Kotwali police limits in Deoria and recovered a large cache of technical equipment on Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the location and apprehended the accused.
