Chandigarh, Feb. 7 -- Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab Minister Bikram Singh Majithia launched a scathing attack on the Bhagwant Mann-led government on Saturday, demanding immediate appointment of a permanent Director General of Police (DGP).
Speaking to media after appearing in a Mohali court, Majithia alleged that the state is witnessing a surge in homicides daily. At the same time, the current police leadership remains preoccupied with securing its own position rather than ensuring public safety.
