Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- The ban on alcohol consumption at Forest Department guest houses should be continued, but the restriction on non-vegetarian food must be lifted immediately, State Minister Ashish Jaiswal has demanded.
He has sent a formal letter in this regard to Forest Minister Ganesh Naik.
In his letter, Jaiswal stated that wildlife sanctuaries and tiger reserves in the state attract a large number of tourists. However, due to the ban on both alcohol and non-vegetarian food at government guest houses run by the Forest Department, many visitors prefer staying at private hotels and resorts instead.
