Chennai, Jan. 29 -- The Chennai Division of Southern Railway flagged off the maiden Parcel Cargo Express Train (PCET) between Royapuram and Patel Nagar railway station on Wednesday evening.

At a function held at the Royapuram Railway Station, Mr Vishwanath Eerya, Divisional Railway Manager, Chennai Division flagged off the maiden run of the PCET.

The PCET will cover a distance of 2,195 kms, connecting the Southern region to the Northern parts of India and this new service is expected to promote trade and commerce between the regions, boosting the local economy and providing a more efficient and cost-effective solution for businesses.
