Mumbai, April 27 -- The political landscape in the Mira-Bhayandar region has turned volatile as BJP MLA Narendra Mehta filed a formal police complaint against Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik (Shiv Sena-Shinde faction).
The move has exposed a deep rift within the ruling Mahayuti alliance, with Mehta labeling the Minister as "land mafia."On Monday, Narendra Mehta, accompanied by a large group of supporters, arrived at the Kasarvadavali Police Station to register a complaint.
Mehta alleges that Sarnaik and his associates illegally grabbed 1,219 sq. meters of land out of a 2,439 sq. meter plot in Bhayandar Pada belonging to local families (the Bhoirs and others).
