Kolhapur, Dec. 29 -- After many meetings between alliance partners, the Mahayuti has successfully worked out a seat-sharing formula for the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) elections, with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) wresting a big chunk of total 81 seats.

Addressing a joint press conference here, senior leaders of Mahayuti alliance partners -- BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-AP), announced that as per seat-sharing formula BJP will contest on 36 seats, Shiv Sena (Shinde) - 30 and NCP AP - 15 seats.

Dhananjay Mahadik, MP (BJP), minister Prakash Abitkar and Rajesh Khirsagar (SS-Shinde) and Minister Hasan Mushrif (NCP-AP) were present as representatives of their respective parties.
