Nagpur, Oct. 9 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that it was Maharishi Valmiki who made Lord Ram a part of people's lives and households through his epic creation, the Ramayan.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in Nagpur, organised by the Valmiki Samaj Seva Mandal, Kamptee, Bhagwat said Valmiki composed the Ramayan to rid the world of sorrow and to awaken compassion and righteousness among people.
He said, "Everyone knows the greatness of Maharishi Valmiki. Lord Ram has always existed, but it was Valmiki who ensured that Ram reached every home.
His heart was filled with empathy and a feeling of oneness with all. Through his work, he aimed to remove the suffering of humanity."B...
