Solapur, Sept. 24 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today announced that strict rules will not be allowed to hinder relief for farmers affected by recent heavy rains and floods. He said norms will be relaxed to ensure timely assistance.
Speaking during a visit to Madha to assess flood damage, Fadnavis stated that a fund of Rs 2,000 crore has already been allocated for relief.
He confirmed that compensation would be provided to farmers and families whose houses, food grains, and other household items have been damaged. District Collectors have been given the authority to sanction this relief.
