Nagpur, Dec. 9 -- Maharashtra cabinet Minister Nitesh Rane on Tuesday said that the state government is set to unveil a new fisheries policy next month, aimed at boosting inland fishing and enhancing the state's overall aquaculture sector.
Rane highlighted the role of technology in the initiative, noting that artificial intelligence (AI) is being employed to analyse district-wise inland fishing data and identify factors limiting fish yields.
"AI provides a powerful tool to assess current production levels and identify opportunities for improvement," he said.
