Mumbai, Aug. 22 -- The Maharashtra government has implemented stringent new regulations governing foreign travel by state officials, mandating comprehensive disclosure and approval processes for all international visits.

The General Administration Department issued the directive yesterday, effective immediately across all state departments.

Under the new framework, officials must submit detailed applications specifying the inviting organisation and complete funding details for every foreign trip.
