Mumbai, Sept. 21 -- The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs 689.52 crore in relief for farmers affected by heavy rains and floods between June and August 2025.
The assistance will go to four districts: Nanded, Parbhani, Satara, and Sangli, according to Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Makarand Jadhav-Patil.
The largest portion, Rs 553.48 crore, is for 774,000 farmers across 648,000 hectares in Nanded. Parbhani district will receive Rs 128.55 crore for 238,000 farmers on 151,000 hectares. Sangli district will get Rs 7.45 crore for 13,475 farmers on 4,074 hectares.
