Mumbai, Oct. 18 -- The Maharashtra government has reformed its scholarship examination structure, deciding that from the academic year 2025-26, exams will be held for students of Classes IV and VII instead of Classes V and VIII. The revised exams will now be known as the Primary Scholarship Examination (PSE) and Upper Primary Scholarship Examination (UPSE), respectively; the government has approved 16,693 seats for Classes IV and V, and 16,588 seats for Classes VII and VIII.
