Mumbai, June 6 -- Maharashtra recorded 98 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, with Mumbai and Pune Municipal Corporation reporting 34 cases each.
Other affected areas include Thane Municipal Corporation (4), Vasai Virar (1), Kalyan Dombivli (2), Pune district (4), Pimpri Chinchwad (10), Satara (1), Sangli (3), and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (1).
All patients are currently receiving treatment, and authorities have urged the public to remain calm.
In Navi Mumbai, four new infections were identified, bringing the total number of active cases in the city to 40.

So far, 249 people have been tested in Navi Mumbai, with 36 undergoing RT-PCR tests. Sixteen patients have recovered to date.
