Mumbai, July 25 -- The Maharashtra government is set to provide official identification cards and accident insurance worth Rs 10 lakh to snake rescuers as a way to ensure their personal safety and give recognition to their work.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that an effort has also been undertaken to grant these snake rescuers the status of frontline workers, and a recommendation in this regard will be soon made to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
