Nagpur, Jan. 24 -- Home and School Education Minister Pankaj Bhoyar on Saturday said that the Maharashtra government will bring all pre-primary schools in the state under government control.
The announcement comes in the wake of an incident in Baldapur, where a four-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a school van driver.
Taking serious note of the incident, Bhoyar said the state government has decided to draft a law to regulate pre-primary education.
He added that concrete preventive measures will be implemented after a joint meeting of the School Education, Home and Transport departments.
