Mumbai, July 29 -- The Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department has reconstituted a high-level committee to inspect the basic facilities and amenities available at Mumbai University's hostel accommodations.
A Government Resolution (GR) has been issued in this regard, mandating the committee to submit a detailed report along with its recommendations to the state government within two months of its formation.
This move comes in response to discussions held in both Houses of the Maharashtra Legislature and assurances given by the Higher and Technical Education Minister concerning infrastructural deficiencies at student residential facilities.
