Mumbai, Sept. 19 -- Maharashtra witnessed a complete state-wide healthcare shutdown today as approximately 1.8 lakh allopathic doctors participated in a comprehensive 24-hour strike from 8:00 AM Thursday to 8:00 AM Friday, protesting against the state government's controversial decision to permit homeopathic practitioners with Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology to register with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
