Mumbai, May 5 -- The Maharashtra cabinet on Tuesday approved three major decisions related to education, tribal student welfare, and engineering studies in Solapur and Dharashiv districts.
One of the key decisions focuses on improving educational opportunities for tribal students.
The cabinet approved the upgradation of five primary and 19 secondary aided Ashram schools run by voluntary organisations. The schools will now be upgraded from primary to secondary level and from secondary level to junior college level.
Approval has also been granted for the creation of necessary posts and financial provisions. The decision is expected to boost educational access for tribal children living in hilly and remote areas.
