Mumbai, July 29 -- The Maharashtra Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, today approved the allocation of land in Thane district to the Maharashtra and Goa Lawyers Council, Mumbai, for establishing an Advocate Academy.
The designated plot, located at Mouje Kalwa, Thane (Survey No. 226, Area: 1.01.90 hectares), will be granted to the council, which represents approximately two lakh advocates across both states.
The academy aims to address the council's current space constraints, as it operates from limited premises within the Bombay High Court complex.
