Mumbai, Sept. 15 -- Health experts and professionals gathered to discuss the growing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among children in Maharashtra and strategies for their prevention and management, at a media workshop jointly organised by UNICEF India and the Press Information Bureau in Mumbai on Monday.

The session also aimed to guide media personnel in effectively raising public awareness about these health concerns. Childhood non-communicable diseases have emerged as a significant health challenge in Maharashtra, with over six million children affected across the state.
