Mumbai/Ranchi, Aug. 28 -- Amit Prabhakar Salunke, Director of Sumeet Facilities Ltd, was granted bail today by Jharkhand ACB Special Judge Justice Yogesh Kumar Singh, ending his month-long judicial custody.
Arrested on July 24 over alleged excise-related irregularities in Ranchi, his detention was quickly weaponised by Maharashtra's opposition, dragging the '108 Ambulance Project' into controversy.
In the ACB Court, Salunke's legal team argued that he was not named in the FIR, had no criminal antecedents, and had fully cooperated with investigators.
