Mumbai, Sept. 20 -- The Maharashtra government has granted approval to numerous pharmacy colleges and institutes to start new courses and increase admission capacity for the academic year 2025-26.
The approvals, issued on September 19, 2025, by the Higher and Technical Education Department through government resolutions signed by Executive Officer Ajay Vitthal Kharde, follow recommendations from the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
The approvals encompass the establishment of new pharmacy institutes, introduction of new postgraduate and undergraduate courses in existing colleges, increase in admission intake, and name changes for some institutions.
