Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, July 31 -- The Maharashtra government has implemented sweeping reforms to its disability reservation policy for public sector employment, issuing comprehensive new guidelines to standardize the implementation of its mandated 4% quota across all government positions.

The revised framework, detailed in Government Resolution (GR) July 31, addresses previous ambiguities and introduces key procedural changes affecting recruitment from Group A to Group D categories.

Under the updated rules, the 4% reservation for persons with benchmark disabilities will be strictly maintained and evenly distributed across five specific categories: 1% for blindness and low vision (Category A), 1% for hearing impairment (Category B), 1...
