Palghar, Dec. 11 -- To resolve the ongoing border dispute between Gujarat and Maharashtra in the Palghar district, the administrations of both states have initiated coordinated action. Residents of Vevji in Talasari had alleged that Gujarat authorities were encroaching upon the jurisdiction of their village panchayat.
Following these allegations, on Thursday, officials from both states began a joint boundary demarcation survey in the area. The process was carried out in the presence of officers from the Palghar district administration, the Umbergaon Tehsildar from Gujarat, Public Works Department officials, and land records authorities.
