Mumbai, March 23 -- The Maharashtra government has announced strict action against a private developer accused of misusing the name and logo of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).
The announcement was made in the Legislative Assembly on Monday by Tourism Minister Shambhuraj Desai, who said that instructions would be issued to investigate the matter and file a case against the concerned developer.
The issue was raised in the House by BJP members Pravin Darekar and Prasad Lad, who highlighted complaints regarding the alleged misuse.
