Satara, Jan. 8 -- A lower court on Wednesday sentenced to 20-year rigorous imprisonment an accused for sexually oppressing a minor girl in 2021 at Shirwal in Maharashtra's Satara district.
District Additional Session Judge R N Mehre also imposed a fine of Rs 19,000 on the accused Kiran Rajaram Vasekar.
In a press release, public prosecutor Mahesh Shinde said that the accused Kiran (20) sexually assaulted the 15-year-old girl at different places from January 28 to February 2, 2021. The victim's aunt registered a complaint against Kiran in Shirwal police.
