Mumbai, Feb. 27 -- Maharashtra Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented the Maha Yuti government's first interim Budget, with a revenue deficit of Rs 9,734 crore for 2024-25, on Tuesday at the state legislature.

Pawar, also a state Deputy Chief Minister, has estimated revenue receipts of Rs.4,98,758 crores against a revenue expenditure of Rs. 5,08,492 crore.

An outlay of Rs 6,00,522 crore is proposed for the total expenditure in 2024-25.

Pawar, who also heads the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said in his speech that an outlay of Rs I.92 lakh crore has been proposed under scheme expenditure in the annual plan 2024-25.

It includes an outlay of Rs 15,839 crore for the Scheduled Caste sub-plan and Rs 15,360 crore for the Tribal Sub-plan. ...
