Bhubaneshwar, Dec. 23 -- Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Monday conducted a comprehensive combined mock drill at Kulda Opencast Project (OCP) of Basundhara area in Odisha's Sundargarh district to assess and strengthen its disaster preparedness and emergency response systems.
The mock drill was conducted jointly by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnels and the Mine Rescue Team from Mines Rescue Station, Orient Area, focusing specifically on handling water-related emergencies in mining operations.
