Pune, Nov. 19 -- Chennai-based dramatist Dushyanth Gunashekar has been honoured with this year's Tanveer Natyadharmi Award for his special contributions to the field of Theatre, a release stated on Wednesday. Gunashekar is a theatre educator and has won appreciation for trying to include the subject of theatre in the school curriculum.
The award instituted by the Rupvedh Prathisthan, Pune and the Maharashtra Cultural Center, is to honour young theatre artists. It consists of a momento and a cash prize of Rs 75,000.
