Nagpur, Nov. 8 -- The Maharashtra Legislature is set to hold its winter Session from December 8 to 19, with Secretariat operations in Nagpur beginning on November 28, officials confirmed on Friday.
The announcement comes amid speculation that the session might be held in Mumbai due to disruptions caused by local self-government elections.
Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule had previously hinted at a possible delay of eight to ten days, but the Legislature Secretariat clarified that the session will proceed as scheduled.
Letters issued to officials Kailash Pajare and Snehalata Khobragade instructed them to arrange accommodations and office facilities for presiding officers and other staff at the Nagpur Legislative Building.
