Mumbai, April 19 -- A sharp political slugfest has erupted between the BJP and the Congress over the Women's Reservation Bill, with senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar launching a strong counterattack after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's criticism of the opposition.
The controversy intensified after social activist Anjali Damania questioned the representation of women in the ruling Mahayuti alliance and its cabinet, putting the government on the defensive.
