Sangli, Dec. 22 -- Two persons were seriously injured in a massive explosion that occurred in a fire-cracker manufacturing factory at Bhalwani in Khanapur tehsil of the district today.
The injured people were identified as Aftab Mansur Mulla (30) and Amir Umar Mulani (40), who owned a factory that produces fireworks.
According to police, both Aftab Mulla and his relative Amir Mulani were working in the factory, when the explosion took place suddenly in the liquor storage tank. The explosion was so terrible that the metal sheet shed was blown around 300 to 400 feet away and the deafening sound travelled in radius of about four to five km away.
