Kolhapur, Aug. 18 -- The 'Sindhuratna Samriddha Yojana' is being implemented to boost tourism in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district and provide employment opportunities at the local level, said MLA Deepak Kesarkar, chairman of the scheme.
Addressing a loan repayment programme for the construction of international standard cottages under the Sindhudurg Samriddha Yojana (SSY) at the district bank's auditorium, Kesarkar said a provision of Rs 15 crore had been made for the project.
He said that international standard schools would be built in the next two to three months.
The per capita income of the district is increasing through the Sindhuratna Samriddha Yojana, he said. Two types of cottages - Type A (Rs 30 lakhs) and Type H (Rs 40 lakhs)...
