Thane, Sept. 22 -- Three young men were killed today when a speeding container truck crashed into their scooter on the Mumbra Bypass Road, police said.
The collision occurred around 3:00 pm near the Gaondevi Temple. The truck, heading towards Shilphata, hit a Suzuki Access scooter carrying the three victims from behind.
The deceased were identified as Hasan Akram Sheikh (19), Mohinuddin Mohammad Khushishekh (19), and Afzal Sakur Sheikh (22), all residents of the Gaondevi area in Mumbra. All three sustained grievous injuries and were declared dead on arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa.
