Nashik, Jan. 8 -- It has been revealed that out of the 735 candidates contesting in the Nashik Municipal Corporation elections, a staggering 35 candidates from various parties are millionaires.
These candidates have declared their assets while filing their nomination papers, and BJP candidates top the list of millionaires. Following the BJP is the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and independent candidates have also amassed considerable wealth.
Similarly, the number of candidates with assets worth lakhs of rupees is also over a hundred.
The election campaign for the Nashik Municipal Corporation general elections has begun in full swing, with a total of 735 candidates in the fray.
