Mumbai, Aug. 1 -- Opposition NCP(SP) leader Supriya Sule today launched a scathing critique of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's decision to reassign a portfolio to minister Manikrao Kokate, calling the move a betrayal of farmers and state dignity.
The reaction follows Kokate's removal as Agriculture Minister after a viral video showed him playing the mobile game 'Rummy' during legislative proceedings.
Kokate, embroiled in controversy for days, has been shifted to head the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare, while Dattatray Bharane takes charge of the Agriculture portfolio.
