Kolhapur, May 9 -- A special POCSO court here today awarded 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 3,000 to a man for repeatedly sexually abusing his step-daughter for five consecutive years since 2013 at Katyani in Karveer tehsil of the district.
According to Public Prosecutor Ms Pratibha Jadhav, accused Dattatreya Bandu Gore (53), the step-father of the girl, sexually assaulted his step-daughter frequently for five years from 2013 to 2017 taking advantage of her ignorance and also threatened to kill her. Finally, the girl registered a complaint against accused.
