Kolhapur, Jan. 7 -- Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national leader and former MP today hit out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for implementing a pro-business policy saying he gave an illegal approval to a land mining project in Tadoba Tiger Sanctuary despite opposition by the officials and members of the Wildlife and Forest Department.
In a press statement here, he said that on the one hand, innovative schemes worth thousands of crores of rupees are being implemented to conserve wildlife in the state and the country while on the other hand, the Chief Minister has given permission to extract mineral resources from the same forest.
