Mumbai, March 5 -- Although the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced that it will not field a candidate against Sharad Pawar if the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) chief is nominated by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for the Rajya Sabha elections, the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) is reportedly planning to field two candidates to challenge Pawar.

The BJP has already announced four candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls. From the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), Parth Pawar is expected to enter the fray. However, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena has not yet officially declared its candidate.
