Mumbai, May 12 -- NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar on Monday requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to appoint a commission for studying the cooperative sector.
Speaking at a programme here, Pawar made this request to Fadnavis in front of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar regarding cooperative factories.
Seeking to draw his attention to current state of the cooperative factories in Maharashtra, Pawar said that earlier, there were 80 percent cooperative and 20 percent private factories but now 50 percent cooperative factories have become private.
He requested the Chief Minister to appoint a commission to study issues of the cooperative societies.
