Mumbai, May 26 -- Senior social movement leader and founder-working president of Bhartiya Vidhyapeeth, Pune, Anandrao Bahirji Patil, has been selected for this year's (2025) prestigious Bagal Purskar, on behalf of Madhavrao Bagal Vidhyapeeth (MBV), Kolhapur.
In a press release issued here on Monday, T S Patil, working president of MBV, said that Anandrao Patil, a concept creator of water distribution system and adherent of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Vitthal Ramji Shinde's thoughts.
The award comprises Rs 5,000 in cash, a citation and a plaque.
