Mumbai, March 6 -- Senior Congress leader and MP, Rahul Gandhi, arrived here on Thursday in order to review the party's position in Maharashtra ahead of upcoming local bodies elections, said the party sources.

His visit is considered strategically important for the Congress ahead of elections to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet top Congress leaders during the day today, when he may discuss upcoming local bodies elections and organisational issues.

He will also take stock of Dharavi development project today and will stay overnight at Trident Hotel in Bandra-Kurla Complex in western suburb of Bandra, before proceeding to Ahmedabad on Friday (tomorrow), where he will hold a series of meetings wit...
