Pune, May 13 -- The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Tuesday announced the results of the class X examination, indicating a decline in overall pass percentage this year.

The result of all the nine zonal boards of the state -- Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan -- has been 94.10 percent, down by 1.71 percent as compared to last year.

The passing percentage of girls was 3.83 percent more than that of boys.

Amongst all divisions, the Konkan division was at top with the highest result of 98.82 percent, while the Nagpur division was at the bottom with 90.78 percent, the lowest result.
