Thane, Sept. 9 -- A three-year-old girl died of food poisoning in Bajrang Nagar, Bhayander in Thane district of Maharashtra today, while four other family members are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
The Bhayander Police Station is investigating the matter.
Senior Inspector Rajendra Kamble of Bhayander Police Station stated that the family had bought chicken from the market on Sunday and cooked it at home. They ate it for dinner along with rice, boiled eggs and vada pav.
After the meal, the family members began experiencing stomach ache, diarrhoea and nausea during the night. All of them were admitted to a nearby hospital, but the young girl passed away during treatment today.
