Mumbai, April 18 -- In a tragic road accident during the early hours of today, a newly married couple working in private banks died after a container rammed their motorcycle near the Nashik-Mumbai highway, ahead of the Khadi Bridge in Kalwa in neighbouring Thane district, officials said here.
The victims have been identified as Kalpesh Revale (30) and his wife Minakshi Revale (31). The couple were travelling on their motorcycle towards Mumbai when they were struck by a heavy container truck near the Kharegaon Toll Naka.
According to police reports, the impact was so severe that both Kalpesh and Minakshi fell under the wheels of the container and died on the spot.
