Akola, Nov. 28 -- Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar group) youth student wing's Akola city head, Vaibhav Ghughe, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near the old RTO road railway track, police officials said on Thursday.
According to police, the incident occurred on Wednesday.
Vaibhav Ghughe was considered a close associate of senior NCP leader, former minister and current MLA Dhananjay Munde.
His growing influence and active role in the party organisation were often discussed.
The suicide of such a young and influential leader has sent waves of grief among his supporters and colleagues.
