Mumbai, April 2 -- The BJP Minority Morcha activist here has supported the Waqf Amendment Bill, which was tabled in Parliament on Wednesday.

The activist distributed sweets and Sheer Khurma, marking his support to the proposed changes and also celebrating the introduction of the bill in the Lok Sabha.

Minority Morcha city president Wasim Khan said, "We have distributed sweets at Borivali railway station and also at Saki Naka area of Mumbai suburb."

He further said, "We have distributed Sheer Khurma, which is always mainly served on the occasion of Eid as today the country is witnessing a historical moment when the Waqf Bill will be passed in Parliament and this moment is not less than Eid for the Muslims of the country."
