Pune, June 26 -- Maharashtra Minister of State for Urban Development, Madhuri Misal, today directed to restructure the property tax in such a way so that all citizens residing within the limits of the municipal corporation, including the newly incorporated villages, will get equal justice.
Speaking at a meeting held with the municipal administration here to review various projects of the Pune Municipal Corporation, she shared an apprehension felt by a section of citizens that more tax is being levied on the property owners of the incorporated villages than the gram panchayat.
Due to this, the revenue being collected from the incorporated villages is less than expected, she noted.
