Sangli, April 23 -- Maharashtra and District Guardian minister Chandrakant Patil today underscored the importance of the water management at the ninth Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Water Management Action Fortnight 2026 here.
Speaking at the programme organized by the Sangli Irrigation Board, he said, "In order to face the dual challenges of drought and heavy rainfall in the backdrop of changing climate, the state government has adopted a sustainable approach for water management. For this purpose, a detailed planning is underway at the state level, and it will be made successful with the participation of all.
