Sambhajinagar, May 31 -- Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate on Saturday made another controversial statement saying that Agriculture Minister's post is just a 'Patilki' of a desolate village and party president Ajit Pawar has given him this portfolio.

He made this statement at both the Progressive Farmers' symposium and the felicitation of meritorious children of farmers organised by the Agriculture Department here.

He said that Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has given him the agriculture portfolio deliberately and he has been paying special attention to this portfolio.
